Country Style Biscuits and Gravy

Our barley flour ads a smoother texture and nutty flavor that will really enhance your biscuits and gravy.

  1. Ingredients:
  2. CookĀ 1lb of ground sausage.
  3. turn down to medium heat and add an additionalĀ 1/2 stick of butterĀ to make increase the drippings to make the roux.
  4. addĀ 2/3 c of barley flourĀ and mix with the sausage and drippings (add 1/3 c at a time).
  5. Slowly mix inĀ 1 qt of milk.Ā 
  6. AddĀ 1/2 cap full of liquid smoke.
  7. AddĀ 1 tsp of parsley.
  8. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutesĀ and stir occasionally so the gravy doesn't stick to the bottom.Ā
